Hello I am Michelle Cecil, I have been breeding Chihuahuas and only Chihuahuas for about 25 years. When I started I figured out I had a lot  to learn , read books, went to the AKC website ( www.AKC.org ) met other responsible breeders and added that all to my own personal experience.
I have been showing for about 12 years and learning more about the standard as I go.  I breed as close to the AKC standard as possible by researching pedigrees and breeding away from genetic faults. I strive to breed show dogs but all pups cannot make it into the ring, there for the others are sold as excellent quality pets, with limited AKC registrations, spay or neuter contracts....not for breeding.  The ones that are show prospects will be held til older to make sure they develop the show traits we strive for....If sold as a show pup It will be contractual, no exceptions. A  contract will be written up with a mutual agreement between the new owner and myself. Terms may vary but will be strictly enforced.

NEW PUPPY INFO

When considering adding a Chihuahua to your family it is best to do  research to make sure that a Chihuahua is what is best for your family and lifestyle. Having a Chihuahua is a lifetime commitment, their lifetime.
Chihuahuas can live up to 15 years or so. I think it is best that when purchasing a pup you go to the breeders home if possible, to see the environment, parents and socialization of your new pet.  Sometimes because of logistics this is not possible and then shipping, delivery or pickup will be offered.
I have a good reputation for placing well adjusted and socialized pets.

SEE MY REFERENCES PAGES ON THE LEFT OF THE HOME PAGE.
Since I moved here in July of 2006 I have successfully shipped puppies.
When you make the decision to purchase a pup you will surely find that they are wonderful pets.
I do not recommend Chihuahuas for very young children, they are hearty little dogs but can also be vulnerable to injury. They have a soft spot on top of their heads called Molera.  Although rare, injury can take place by
dropping them, stepping on them , or falling off furniture. Sometimes pups,  if left unattended, can run and play hard and hit their heads.
An honest evaluation of your family and environment is strongly suggested.
I have a health guarantee. I take the pups to my vet and have them completely checked over, for structure, patellas(knees), molera, hernias, and parasites.  I am confident that when I sell a puppy it is ready for a new home and or shipping.  When Shipping the pups are evaluated individually.  Smaller pups are shipped at an older age.  No pups will be shipped before 9 weeks of age....this is a safe guard to make sure the pups are hearty enough to make a transport.  Hypoglycemia is another risk.

I am a full disclosure breeder, I make sure the pups are ready for their new homes, and any health issues will be disclosed with a letter from my vet, no surprises

I have door to door ground transport available as well   ask about pick up

I am also getting to know some well recommended ground transports  in some cases door tho door.

fees are compatible and in some incidences safer that flying cargo.  Pick up or delivery can me arranged as well.

IF FOR ANY REASON THE NEW OWNER AT ANY TIME IN THE PETS LIFE THEY ARE UNABLE TO CARE FOR THE PET,  I WOULD LIKE TO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REGAIN POSSESSION OF THE PET OR AT LEAST FIND OUT, FOR MY RECORDS, WHERE THE PET HAS GONE...MY GREATEST WISH IS FOR THE PETS, THAT  I HAVE BRED GO TO GOOD FOREVER HOMES.

I hope you found my website simple and to the point, but if there are any other questions, please do not hesitate to call or email, any feedback is welcome.

Best of Opposite Sex
October 2008 / Fort Smith Kennel Club

Pursuant to 59 O.S. 5001, et.seq, I do not have any more than 10 breeding females and as such I am not a commercial pet breeder.

I will be reducing the number of dogs have for now, I am attributing this to my health issues.

I am breeding chihuahuas for pets only,    My pups are from AKC parents but i am not registering the litters.

My  vet does a completed exam on the pups and creates

a letter to go with the pup.

I am still breeding responsibly and only occasionally and only with bettering the
breed in mind,  for fine quality and excellence in health and temperament.

Thanks  Michelle"Chelle"Cecil

I appreciate the integrity of the pure bred dog and the breeders on this page I would buy and or have bought dogs from them.
I would not refer anyone to any site or breeder If I felt that their integrity was compromised.

THANKS AGAIN

TO ALL WHO HAVE VISITED MY SITE OVER THE YEARS.

BREEDING

I only breed just a few litters a year.  My dogs have some of the best facilities in the area.  I do my very best to keep them flea and parasite free.  They live partially in the house and partially outside in a controlled environment. They are happy and healthy and well socialized with each other and people too.....I have the facility to keep them separated when need be.  Puppies are home raised and never go
outside until they go to their new owners.

HEALTH GUARANTEE

I have a health guarantee, I take the pups to my vet to have them checked out after the age of weaning.  I have them checked for total all round health, patellas, molera, hernias, parasites.  If parasites are present worming will be performed.  First vaccines are performed after weaning whatever age that takes place.  If shipping, extra care is taken to prevent Hypoglycemia,  when I receive a deposit on a pup I will send out new puppy literature to make the transition easier and if you have any questions I will be able to address them.  After receiving your new pup you
must take the pup to your vet providing a stool sample with in 72 hours of receiving the pet.  If any life threatening issues are detected with your new pet I must me informed immediately along with a letter stating the issue found by your vet.  The pups will have to be shipped back to me as soon as possible  be re-evaluated by my vet if
my vet does not agree that the pup has a life threatening condition I will mail you are certificate of his findings and a  replacement pup of equal value will be given . I not do refund.  I do not pay for shipping.  This is all so theoretical as I have never had in my years of breeding any incidence that I have ever sold a pup that was not in excellent health, I am very confident of the pups I breed and would never send a sick or compromised pup off to
anyone.  With my health guarantee there is also and assurance that I will always be available to answer any of your questions either by email or phone.  If your new pup is not seen by your vet with in 3 working days health guarantee will be void.  When seeing your vet for the first time I also suggest you take the vaccination record provided along to get on a vaccination schedule that you and your new vet agree on...Also I do not suggest taking your new pup any where that strange dogs may had defected. Like Dog parks or Pet stores or letting strangers handle them or at least until your vet tells you they are fully vaccinated but even then there is always a risk.

The following are not covered in the health guarantee:
Retained puppy teeth: It is very common in small breeds that at about 6 months the vet may need to extract retained puppy teeth.  Malocclusions.
Collapsing Trachea: Small breeds may develop a peculiar cough, this is due to the Collapse of the tracheal rings, this seems to happen mostly when the dog is excited or over exerted,  it can be annoying to the owner but is rarely a health issue.
Hypoglycemia: this is a condition of low blood sugar  Literature will be provided, when pups get over exerted, chilled, forgetting to eat they can become Hypoglycemic, stiffness, listlessness, shocky, or seizurish can happen. This is something I go not guarantee will not happen and will not be responsible for the condition> See provided literature.
Pet size: when buying a puppy as a pet I do not guarantee size; I breed to the AKC standard as closely as possible.  I do not breed very small chihuahuas on purpose.  The very tiny ones tend to have more health issues.
Molera: this is a soft spot that can be present on a Chihuahua, sometimes they close up and other times it can be there for life, take precaution to not let the chihuahua hit their head.  This should not be considered a flaw.
Luxating Patellas: Every effort has been made to prevent this problem using only dam and sires that are free from luxation (slipping knee caps), thus preventing passing the problem on genetically.  However sometimes this problem can be caused by trauma, jumping up and down excessively, jumping off furniture etc. If this is detected by the vet in puppy checks the prospective new owners will be informed ahead of time.
Coccidia/Giardia:  many pups are prone to an out break of Coccidia or Giardia. Under stressful circumstances. These symptoms can arise in a 12 hour period and can not always be prevented by the seller, the seller makes sure that before pup is shipped or placed that the pup is parasite free, sometimes if there is stress the immune system drops he or she can contract an intestinal upset and if the pup is vomiting, unusual stool or lack of appetite take pup to the vet.  Low Sodium Chicken broth can help as well

Hernias: of any kind
